Somewhere Down the Road (with song)

Do you ever wonder, “Why?”

Why is this or that going on? “This” or “that” could be our own personal pain, the pain of friends or family we care about, or even the pain of others we may not know personally but hear their stories or see in the news. We ask, why?

We may ask, why, why, why does it go this way? For now, all we can do, perhaps all we need to do is be present. Yes, with the pain and questions, we may only know some of the reasons now, but we will have answers somewhere down the road. We can wonder while seeking to see if there are things for us to do now.

Keep on walking. Keep on going, and know you will have what you need to meet each need in time. Somewhere down the road, you will have the answers. For now, hold on. Reach out if you need support and help. Open arms are there for each of us. We are never really alone, even when we feel like we are in the darkest times. There is hope, and there is light.

Being still can be challenging. Yet, at times, being still is the most important thing to do.

Somewhere down the road, many things make sense that once did not.

Somewhere down the road, lights come on.

For now, we practice being present.

Peace comes. Hope is stirred both here and now and

somewhere down the road.

Somewhere down the road, through the dark, through the fog, through the questions, fears, and doubts, gifts are waiting for us that will be revealed to us, in us, and even through us. We cannot see the whole picture now, but we can be here now. Practice being present. Yes, in these moments, these days that may be tough, dull, or hard to get through, practice being here now.

We can get through. We can see one day. We are living, breathing, and meeting all needs to stay alive. No matter what, we can learn to love ourselves and practice being with ourselves. What a beautiful gift this is too. But for some of us, this may be somewhere down the road; for now, we only need help! Get it.

Sometimes, we may feel we cannot be with ourselves; we can reach out, if we cannot reach within, and learn to love and cherish ourselves in time. It may take a little time, but somewhere down the road, we can experience the joy, the light, the love, and the peace we seek. Yes, somewhere down the road, and it may be just around the corner!

“Somewhere down the road” may not be too long.

Just hold on, stay steady, and keep going.

We can easily get overwhelmed and forget that we have freedom; we can set boundaries. We have more power now than we may realize—the power of being present., and the power of the pause, so we can breathe and be here now, is essential

We can meet our needs and even help others somewhere down the road. Tears wash away the clouds at times; tears can allow us to empty some of the pain; shed those tears, wipe them, allow them to fall, and then breathe….in…out…sit in stillness and just breathe…in…out…let the tears flow if they want to flow.

Our tears may be watering seeds and we will see beauty and growth in ourselves,

Somewhere down the road.

Read the words and hear the song. Enjoy some healing, clarity, and peace. Now. Know somewhere down the road,  you will find what you seek and need and,  be renewed in the present moment too. Be present. Remember, reach out too. We all need a helping hand at times. Perhaps we need someone to turn the light on or hold a light for us to get out of our darkness. Maybe we need someone to sit with us, hold us, and cry with us. We are here for one another; is it your turn to get help or to be that help for another? You will know.

For now, be present. Be here now. And somewhere down the road, you will know more.

Somewhere Down The Road

[Verse 1]
So much pain and no good reason why
You’ve cried until the tears run dry
And nothing here can make you understand
The one thing that you held so dear is slipping from your hands

[Chorus]
And you say, “Why, why, why
Does it go this way?”
And why, why, why?
When all I can say
Is somewhere down the road
There’ll be answers to the questions
Somewhere down the road
Though we can not see it now
Somewhere down the road
You will find mighty arms reaching for you
And they will hold the answers at the end of the road

[Verse 2]
Yesterday I thought I’d seen it all
I thought I’d climbed the highest wall
And now I see that learning never ends
And all I know to do is keep on walking, walking ’round the bend

[Chorus]
Sayin’, “Why, why, why
Does it go this way?”
And why, why, why?
When all I can say
Is somewhere down the road
There’ll be answers to the questions
Somewhere down the road
Though we can not see it now
Somewhere down the road
You will find mighty arms reaching for you
And they will hold the answers at the end of the road

Here is another view of the song, a surprise. As Amy was writing this song long ago, she probably never imagined this would happen somewhere down the road. As we do what we know to do, what our hands find to do, where we are, here and now, we never see the good it may do for ourselves and others. Somewhere down the road, we may know this too. Just be you. Be present. Somewhere down the road, you will know.
