Once we begin looking for The 5 Needs in Life, we see them in so many places. In music, art, television shows, plays, books, and just in everyday conversations too. Having a passion for The 5 Needs we share in life since 2001, you can imagine I have tuned into a need anytime, anyplace I see one or the concept of one mentioned or portrayed in any area.
Here is a practical example: Music is magical for me. Music can speak to me when nothing else can. I can speak through music, too, even if it is only singing to myself. I can hear what is on my heart and in my mind and often get answers to go along with the questions that may be riding around inside of me.
This is a beautiful little song, May You Dance, can be sung to ourselves or our children or a friend.
“I hope you never lose your sense of wonder….” what a beautiful thing to say to anyone. This can be a way to express the need for: fun, love and belonging, and even staying alive.I hope you dance…what a gift! Dancing is can be so magical. We can touch another person or do it single (like line dancing or ballet). Simply moving can change us in a variety of ways. Our moods can change, and we can sometimes even find answers we seek in silence when we let go and dance. Again, fun, self-love, and even staying alive can be seen through dance. We can also find a sense of freedom through dance.
May we see each of The 5 Needs more and more naturally in our lives today
by just being aware.
I am sharing some versions of this song and even a fun dancing one with a woman in her home, dancing to the song. I hope you enjoy it and can see some of The 5 Needs through this song and many others.
MAY YOU DANCE
MAY YOU NEVER LOSE YOUR SENE OF WONDER.
I Hope You Dance Lyrics
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat, but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty-handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin’ might mean takin’ chances but they’re worth takin’
Lovin’ might be a mistake but it’s worth makin’
Don’t let some hell-bent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to sellin’ out, reconsider
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
[Chorus]
I hope you dance (Time is a wheel in constant motion)
I hope you dance (Always rolling us along)
I hope you dance (Tell me, who wants to look back on their years)
I hope you dance (And wonder where those years have gone?)
[Bridge]
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
[Chorus]
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance (Time is a wheel in constant motion)
I hope you dance (Always rolling us along)
I hope you dance (Tell me, who wants to look back on their years)
I hope you dance (And wonder where those years have gone?)
(Tell me, who wants to look back on their years)
(And wonder where those years have gone?)
