Background and Education
Wendy grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a “late bloomer” starting community college long after most, while otherwise being busy at home and in the community. When the time was right, Wendy started in her post high school education at Delgado Community College, she completed her undergraduate at The Baptist Seminary in New Orleans (BA in Christian Education) and earned her master’s degree in social work (MSW) through Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO).
Wendy worked with the YWCA (Young Women’s Battered Women’s Program), Childhelp, USA; Family Preservations and Fauquier County Schools. She also had the privilege of working in private practice. Wendy retired from public work and is now writing and creating materials for others to use while pursuing her passion with The 5 Needs in Life. She also maintains her clinical license (LCSW) and takes classes and workshops on various topics.
